“The style has changed a lot since my days, and the game has evolved quite a lot. The game has gone through evolution, especially in the last seven years. I feel that the game has evolved so much and so fast since 2015. Now each and every player is a 360-degree player. Any player can bat like de Villiers now.
“He stated that even veterans of the game have adapted to new unconventional methods in order to achieve results. He cited the example of Indian skipper Rohit Sharma to prove his point.
“Even Rohit Sharma has started to play unorthodox shots. The evolution might not be enjoyed by traditional viewers, but it is highly enjoyable for contemporary viewers.”
Over the years, the sport has taken a drastic turn in terms of its planning, execution, and mindset to meet the rigorous demands that come with all three formats. Now the players tend to score runs in any way that is possible, and that has made the game even more interesting.
